Messages sent using Milyo use End-to-End Encryption (E2EE). This is a way of scrambling messages between a sender and receiver so that they're not readable on Milyo servers. This means that third parties (including Milyo) can't read users' messages on servers, and allows us to make stronger privacy commitments.
While we honor and respect people's privacy, E2EE also means Milyo can't automatically screen messages for harmful content. Instead, we rely on users to report lewd content.
When you sign into a new mobile device, you won't see the messages from previous encrypted conversations on the new device.
